"Blue is Better" is a consumer friendly way of identifying healthier food choices in our stores using the criteria found on these pages and in our "Blue is Better" Healthy Meal Guidelines brochure. It's simple! Items with blue tags are better for your health.

Health care professionals recommend preparing meals using our blue-tagged items at least 80% of the time. As with any program, please consult with your physician for individual direction.

If vegetables are not one of your favorite foods, keep trying different ones. With the wide variety of colors, flavors and textures to choose from, you're sure to find some you like. Try them raw or cooked. Use vegetables that are in season whenever possible.
