It’s stew season! Here’s a fan favorite dinner option for busy weekends or long work days. Save a little time and shop online at shop.rosauers.com. 🛒 Prep time takes about 20 minutes, cook time is 4 hours on high in the crockpot. Serves 4.
Ingredients:
🥕 2 medium carrots
🥕 4 radishes (radishes lose their color when cooked so if you need a way to sneak another veggie in for a picky eater, these are a good one.)
🥕 2 celery sticks (we grabbed the perfect amount from the bulk produce to reduce food waste)
🥕 2 medium potatoes
🧄 1/2 onion
🧄 1 clove garlic
🌿 a dash or a few fresh sprigs of thyme & rosemary
🌿 1 bay leaf
🥩 1 lb stew meat
🥣 1 can beef stock
🥣 1 tbsp flour
🥣 1 tsp each salt & pepper (more to taste at the end)
Brown your meat with a tbsp of oil in a pan. Add to crockpot, add salt, pepper, dried herbs, flour, and mix. Add in chopped veggies, diced onion, and minced garlic. Pour in beef stock and stir. Add fresh herbs and bay leaf on top. Cook 4 hours on high, remove bay leaf, add salt and pepper to taste, and serve with sourdough or rolls! Easiest meal of the week. 😉
